Land Donors Setting Conditions Delay Government Projects: Health Minister P. Paiwang Konyak
25th June 2025 | Zunheboto – Nagaland’s Minister for Health and Family Welfare, P. Paiwang Konyak, has expressed concern over delays in government development projects due to land donations being tied with conditions. The Minister made the remarks during his visit to the recently upgraded Community Health Centre (CHC) at Satakha in Zunheboto district on June 24th. The visit was part of the second phase of his statewide tour under the Viksit Nagaland for Viksit Bharat initiative. After inspecting the CHC facilities, Minister Konyak emphasized that conditional land donations have become a major obstacle in the timely implementation of public welfare projects. He appealed to landowners to come forward and donate land for hospitals and other development initiatives as an act of humanity and selflessness.
“Health infrastructure is critical to community well-being. We must rise above personal interests for the greater good,” he stated.
The Minister also appreciated the ongoing developments in Satakha and assured that the government remains committed to strengthening healthcare infrastructure across the state.
