Niuland Crackdown: 15 Pharmacies Lose Licences

1st July 2025: In a major enforcement move, licences of 15 pharmacies in Niuland district have been cancelled for operating without qualified pharmacists — a clear violation of the Drugs & Cosmetics Rules, 1945 and the Pharmacy Act, 1948.

The crackdown was carried out through a joint inspection drive led by the District Administration, Police Department, and Chief Medical Office, Dimapur, under directions from the State Drugs Control Administration, Kohima.

Authorities confirmed that the action followed non-compliance with show-cause notices previously issued to these establishments.
